		<description>It is arguable that there is reasonably well established principle upheld by Scottish law, and law from other jurisdictions for release of prisoner's on compassionate grounds owing to terminal illness.

It may be difficult for non Scots to understand the visceral dislike between the ruling Labour Party in London and the ruling Scottish National Party in Edinburgh. I think they would find it very difficult to co-operate, let alone collude in something so significant.</description>
